Spring Quilt Needs Help!!

My almost completed doll quilt for the Spring Four Season Quilt Swap. I ran into a bit of trouble with the borders and need a little help. I want the quilt to be a rectangle, with asymmetrical borders. The HSTs were supposed to continue across the top and bottom outer borders, but when I put the 1/2 inch dark purple border in (it wasn't originally supposed to be there but I didn't like the pieced border against the pieced center) the math got messed up. So I think it can still work, but the yellow might be too soft.

These fabrics can be used for the darker yellow pieces in the outer border. I'm thinking one of the purples, or darker greens. I'm thinking I'll use the striped fabric to make the bias binding. I was just zipping right along until I realized the measurements weren't coming out. DH just doesn't have an opinion...

Any advice??

Ooooh so pretty, I like the green, between the orange and the stripe, for the border... Whoever is receiving this, will be thriled I'm sure.

it is a lovely quilt. I like the dark green too - or even the green and orange in a small square checkerboard?

I think it is just fine the way it is, lovely in fact. I do adore that striped fabric, which might be good in the yellow's position. I used that on a quilt for my neice last year.

Not sure what I'd do, but I love your center and the striped binding!

I think that I would consider the lighter purple. The whole quilt is stunning -- very "springy."

I was thinking the stripe would be good until you said it was going to be the binding so taking that out of the mix I was thinking the dark green used in the HSTs or the light green could be ok. Whatever you use it will be awesome and someone will be very lucky to have that one arrive at their home! So Spring-y!
